The Civic Orchestra of New Haven is comprised of more than 60 professional and serious amateur musicians. Every year, we welcome talented musicians to audition and join. In particular, CONH is seeking all string players (violin, viola, cello, and bass) who are interested in performing with this long established local orchestra. For the 2023-2024 season and beyond, we are also looking for bassoon and clarinet - however everyone no matter what instrument is urged to audition!

Rehearsals are held on Monday nights 7pm - 9pm from September through early May.  Auditions are typically held directly before rehearsal, and every auditioning musician is welcome to stay and play with us for the evening. Repertoire for auditions varies and will be discussed in advance with the music director.
