In Fire & Ice, Astor Piazzolla, Manuel de Falla, and Jean Silbelius transform the traditions of their homelands into music of extraordinary intensity, imagination, and emotional depth. From the fiery rhythms of Argentina and the vibrant colors of Spain to the sweeping Nordic landscapes of Finalnd, each composer draws inspiration from the people, places, and experiences that shaped their musical voice. Though their worlds are strinkingly different, each found a voice that was unmistakably their own, reminding us that identity is shaped by the experiences, traditions, and places that make each of us unique.
